Snow Flakes |
After a too-long winter in East Tennessee, it seems as though spring is just about here. When I stepped out onto my front porch this Easter morning the weather was decidedly
not cold. The only snow flakes to be seen were of the floral variety (a bulb called Leucojum or "snow flakes" that I dug and moved from my garden in Virginia - they're doing very well here).

Grape Hyacinths |
The grape hyacinths have multiplied and line the little beds in front of the house; the weeping cherry is just starting to boom; and gold finches are shedding their drab coats in exchange for bright yellow. All welcome signs of warmer days to come. Finally. Yay!
